SEND Local Offer online
The SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) Local Offer is the name used to describe the provision available locally for children and families with SEND. This includes everything the Local Authority provides, services, facilities, funding, schemes etc. as well as everything provided by other groups and organisations in the borough - everything ‘local’ for families with SEND.
Each Local Authority must provide access to the information online resource (website).
Ealing's Local Offer online includes:
- Early years and childcare provision
- Links to SEND provision within all schools
- How to request an Education, Health & Care (EHC) Assessment & Plan
- Health services
- Leisure activities
- Social care services, including short breaks
- Training opportunities
- Travel for children and young people to places of education
- Preparing for adulthood (new section design in progress)
This is what the Local Offer home page looks like
The website is easy to navigate and all the content can be switched to an alternative language using the ‘Google Translate’ feature top right of the screen.
It also has accessibility settings (top right) where you can increase the size of the text and change colours to accommodate any sight impairments.
As part of our SEND Local Offer, we also run a Facebook page called
Enable Ealing Families
You will find current, up-to-date information on a range of social events, news, top tips on making your home safe, and specialist equipment shops, inspirational ideas on keeping your child entertained/days-out, disability friendly places of interest and more.
Please tell us how relevant each desired outcome is to you. You can change the wording or suggest something else … use the right hand column to comment.
