Competency
II / Supervised agricultural experience programs are planned, developed and managed by the student with instruction and support by the agriculture teacher, parents and/or employer in consultation with the program advisory committee.
Course Objective 1: Agriculture teacher candidates will be able tocreate a sequential curriculum to guide students through SAEP selection and creation, management, and analysis with appropriate examples.
Lesson Objectives: Students will be able to:
  1. describe the role of the agricultural education teacher in SAE program development.
  2. describe the teacher’s roles and responsibilities associated with SAE programs, including teaching SAE competencies and incorporating SAE into classroom instruction.
  3. define the students’ roles and responsibilities associated with SAE programs.
  4. teach students the process of planning, developing, implementing and executing an SAE.
  5. assist students in selection, management and documentation of SAE.
