TITLE: Missional Expeditor[1]
CLASSIFICATION: P/T Salaried Exempt
PURPOSE: To support Presbytery Staff, Pastors, Elders, and other leaders in our congregations and Presbytery who want to experience God’s on-going transformation through listening, discerning, experimenting, and reflecting.
ACCOUNTABILITY: The Missional Expeditor reports to the Executive Presbyter with the support and cooperation of the Presbytery’s Vision Team. The EP will provide oversight and guidance and will conduct annual performance reviews.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Meet monthly with the Vision Team to support and encourage their listening work.
2. Engage in recruiting for the Presbytery’s ongoing Learning Community.
3. Help plan and facilitate the Presbytery’s Learning Community and Gatherings.
4. Participate in the Presbytery’s Learning Community Pastors’ Cohort.
5. Be available to Pastors and congregations to visit, share stories, listen, and invite further missional involvement (may include 1-2 Sunday mornings/month).
6. Seek out further listening opportunities for the Presbytery and help congregations listen to each other about what God’s Spirit is doing.
7. Find ways for us to hold up stories of God’s activity for the whole Presbytery to hear and celebrate.
8. Plan and moderate occasional topical webinars to help our Presbytery listen to what God is doing within our boundaries.
9. Help coordinate ideas for Emmaus 160 videos to share via the Presbytery’s social media.
10. Work as a team player with other Presbytery Staff and other ministry leaders.
11. Other duties as assigned.
While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to travel significant distances by car, meet with people in churches, homes, retreat centers or public places.

EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS:
Preference given to an individual who is a PC(USA) Ruling Elder or Teaching Elder and has a Bachelor’s Degree and related ministry experience.
[1] We’re borrowing this term from the restaurant industry. The expeditor keeps the kitchen in sync with the dining room, serving as liaison with chef, cooks, servers, and customers. Expeditors don’t design the menu, or make or serve the food; they connect the work of others.
