MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

1.0  Statement of work

The Cascading Leadership programme explores how organisations can be supported to cascade their learning and skills into the wider voluntary and community sector. Consultants will offer:

·  technical or thematic expertise

·  process skills.

The offer is designed for any organisation that supports health, care and wellbeing.

Development input (training the trainers) and ongoing supervision and support for consultants will be provided by The King’s Fund to build the capacity of consultants. We will be working with up to 20 consultants for each cohort who will provide consulting support to up to 20 community-based organisations in the period November 2017–April 2018.

2.0  Statement of expectations

The relationship is for the purposes of developing the Cascading Leadership programme. The consultant will be expected to:

Attend the consultant development meetings at The King’s Fund on 1-2 November 2017 and 27 February 2018 and the final review and learning event on 19 April 2018; take part in an initial telephone call/meeting to the Cascading Leadership partner; deliver a minimum of three consulting sessions between November 2017-April 2018; provide feedback to information the evaluation of the programme, if requiredFor long distance travellers, 2nd class travel and overnight accommodation will be covered.

Participate in the Cascading Leadership programme, as an employee and on behalf of the consultant organisation.

Ensure that the work undertaken complies with the consultant organisation’s policies, procedures and ways of working.

Manage the relationship with the paired partners, including setting up meetings, 1:1s, communications, and other matters relating to effective participation of the programme.

3.0  Statement of liability

The Cascading Leadership programme is designed to share learning and develop capability among leaders. As such, The King’s Fund and the programme’s funding partners are not liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage or costs arising in any decisions or actions undertaken by my organisation or other beneficiaries related to the programme.

4.0  Scope of Memorandum

This Memorandum of Understanding relates to the consultant’s relationship with The King’s Fund for the purposes of this project. It does not cover the consultant’s relationship with participating partner, and The King’s Fund does not accept any liability towards any such partners.
