BASEBALL TOURNAMENT RULES

The United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) rules shall govern play with the following exceptions.

Diamond Size: Pitching Distance 46’ Base Distance 65’

Game Length: 6 Innings or Time Limit 1 hour 30 minutes

Batting Line-Up:

a)  All leagues will bat entire roster (courtesy runner is allowed for pitcher and catcher only – must be batter who made last out)

b)  Coaches only allowed 1 conference per half inning to confer with hitter or baserunner

c)  Free substitution

Run Rules:

10U: every half inning consist of three (3) outs or four (4) runs, whichever occurs first

10U: 10 run rule after 4 innings.

Infield Fly Rule: play under USSSA ruling

Stealing: Unlimited advancement on all overthrows and open stealing of bases in the 12U -14U divisions. 10U may steal 1st-3rd. Baserunner can only go home on a batted ball or a walk in 10U.

Pitcher “Balk”:

Pitchers should be called for all major violations and warned for minor violations that do not affect the outcome of play, including one warning per pitcher for 10U only.

Pitch Substitution: play under USSSA ruling

Innings Pitched Limit: play under USSSA ruling (no limitations, be mindful of players safety).

Crash Rule: play under USSSA ruling

Drop 3rd Strike: 10U no drop 3rd strike

Coin Flip: coin flip will be administered by umpires for home team at pre-game
