Members present:Debbie Heerdt, Todd Hoar, Joe Douglas, Suzanne Matosich, Ann Treece Harold Owens, Jean Morgan, Bill Heinecke, Liesl Beck, Lori Durrin Lundberg, Kibbie Horsley, Rebecca Hargis, and Greg Olsen. Sue Dow, Deb Gabse, Darwin Nelson, Tim Plaska, Diana Tavery, Robin Reagle, Jean Willianson, Andy Tobel, and Floyd Collins were unable to attend.

The committee reviewed and revised the PSP draft. This was accomplished by reviewing the document section by section taking into consideration all recommendations made by PDI, discussing such recommendations, and agreeing what changes needed to be made. This process took up much of the two days set aside for this task.

All changes to the draft were noted by the team members present. Rebecca will execute the changes to the document as identified by the committee thenpass them on to Ann for her review and editing.

Discussion was held regarding training of person centered planning and the need for agencies to go ahead with such; adopting the philosophy more fully now. It was again agreed that no one needs to wait for the training and implementation of the new planning process. It was noted that there is going to be a direct care conference in November. Jean reports that a list of resources available across the state was never generated because she did not get more than a couple. She is going to write a follow-up letter.

Some discussion was held regarding how to get the draft of the PSP document out and let everyone know we want feedback. Suggestions were: post to DDP and Davis/Deshaies websites, PLUK & MAP newsletters, mass email, a letter to stakeholders. Liesl agreed to write the memo to be sent out with the draft of the instructions to stakeholders.

Committee members received the “Proposed Activities and Timelines” sent out by PDI. There was not much time to review them in depth. It was agreed that the draft needs to be out by the Self-Advocacy Conference October 3rd through 5th so that we can disburse copies there.

The next meeting is September 20 and 21 at 111 Sanders, 3rd Floor Conference Room. Agenda will be final revision of draft before sending out to all stakeholders, how will it be sent out, how feedback will be collected, and setting a deadline.
