To whom it may concern,

I am relocating to Austin, Texas around the third week of August, 2009. After careful consideration I decided I wanted to live and work in a growing community with things to do and interesting people.

I have worked in the electronics field for nearly 30 years professionally. In my youth I helped my father by soldering components in his home electronics business.

I started working professionally repairing pinball machines and soon became the assistant manager… I was also the youngest employee the company, Spaceport had at the time.

From there I entered the service and learned to repair avionics; aircraft electronic systems. I remained in the military for twelve years before starting work in two-way radio for Tomba Communications in 1990. I started as an installer before working my way up to a service tech, then as a project manager.

I moved to St Louis in 1996 and worked for another Motorola shop before going to Nextel for ten years.

In 2008 Sprint had purchased the company and had reached a point where they laid off four thousand people including myself. I returned to the two-way radio industry with WirelessUSA shortly thereafter and have been working there since.

Eve and I want to be in an area that has more to offer so we gave it careful consideration and have now sold our home as the first step in our new lives. I would like to make your company part of that new future and I bring a great deal of background and skills with me.

I am fluent in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and some Access background as well. I can write HTML pages including some JavaScript and PHP coding. I also have some background with Visual Basic and have written software to assist me in data mining and reformatting.

I have worked with many types of systems including Centracom, MCC-550, Smartzone, Astro, LTR, and have done system designs for in-building enhancements for PCS, iDEN, and others. I have designed coaxial and fiber antenna distribution systems, created close-out packages, and performed survey data and final bid quoting. Most recently I have obtained the Motorola CET for the Journeyman level.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for the opportunity,

Jerry
