Relevant Personal Information
I prepare and submit a funding proposal for government Legislative funds, and after been approved, start the construction and development of a Rabbit’s Farm. It is located at one of the College of Agricultural Sciences facilities at “Finca Alzomara”. This farm served as a model one for Puerto Rico´s Rabbit’s raisers and for sale of genetically Improved rabbits acquired at Barcelona, Spain. Also, 200 rabbits were exported to Dominican Republic Government to improve their rabbits industry. I personally brought them the animals and offered technical advisement about modern rabbit’s raising methods.
I was the first one in the history of local rabbit’s industry to perform successfully the artificial insemination in rabbits. Also the first one to import rabbit semen in a special gel medium that do not required freezing temperatures for its preservation. The process was successful and all 5 does inseminated became pregnant and gave birth.
