During a review of the various 2013 CF1R templates, there were a number of formatting/reporting issues that I noticed. Please review the attached marked-up pdfs for an explanation/direction, and note that there are duplicates between the various CF1Rs.

Below is a summary of the issues I noticed:

  1. Example: Addition Alone_1000-3.ribd
  • Addition Alone Project Analysis Parameters: ‘ft2’ should report as ‘ft2’
  • HERS Feature Summary: IAQ mechanical ventilation should only be triggered for Newly Constructed Buildings or Additions > 1,000 ft2
  • HERS Feature Summary: ‘Pipe Insulation, All Lines’ triggering off of a non-active (defined, but not modeled for compliance) system
  • Energy Design Rating: ‘kTDV/f2-yr’ should be‘kTDV/ft2-yr’
  • Building – Features Information: ‘ft2’ should report as ‘ft2’
  • Zone Information > Water Heating System 1: Reporting the wrong DHW system. Should report ‘DHW System 2’. ‘DHW Sys 1’ is a non-active system. It was defined on the mechanical tab, but was not modeled for compliance.
  • Spacing between tables is not consistent throughout document
  • Windows > Multiplier: adjust column width so that ‘Multiplier’ is one line
  • Water Heating Systems/Water Heaters/Water Heating – HERS Verification: Reporting the wrong DHW System information. Should report ‘DHW System 2’.‘DHW Sys 1’ is a non-active system. It was defined on the mechanical tab, but was not modeled for compliance.
  • Water Heating Systems > Solar Fraction (%): ‘.0%’ should report as ‘- none -’ to be consistent
  • Water Heaters > Standby Loss (Fraction): should report ‘---’ or ‘0’ if no information contained in the xml to be consistent
  • Page 7 of the report is blank and should be deleted

  • HVAC – Cooling Systems: NoCooling not reporting in a consistent manner. NCB & AA report NoCooling with ‘---’, not ‘N/A’ or ‘No’

  • Building – Features Information: ‘sft’ should report as ‘ft2’ to be consistent
  • Dwelling Unit Types: ‘ft2’ should report as ‘ft2’ to be consistent
  • Windows > Multiplier: adjust column width so that ‘Multiplier’ is one line
  • Water Heaters > Standby Loss (Fraction): Depending on the DHW system type, either Standby Loss Fraction or Pilot Energy (Btu/hr) is reported here. Column header should be changed to ‘Pilot Energy or Standby Loss Fraction’ on all CF1R templates
