Scholarship in medical education 2016 – 17

Following the success of last year’s faculty development sessions on scholarship in medical education, we are putting on another 4-day course (to take place on the Plymouth campus on:

·  20 October 2016 (1000-1500)

·  9 January 2017 (1000-1500)

·  22 May 2017 (1000-1500)

·  3 July 2017 (1000-1500)

This introductory course will cover broadly the differences between scholarship, evaluation and research and offer you practical steps for undertaking small scholarly projects in medical education. The course, which is delivered by Professor Gayle Letherby, may be particularly useful for individuals who wish to further develop the ways that they deliver training to medical students. In addition, it will be a useful way to build links between clinicians and scientists who teach on the BMBS course (and thus be of potential benefit to students).
