  • Personal Statement of Commitment1
  • Copies of your graduate level academic transcripts, including a copy of your Masters diploma
  • Copy of letter of acceptance to doctoral programme2
  • Three letters of recommendation3
  • Writing sample4
  • Your doctoral research proposal

1This statement should be used to explain two things: i) the relevance of your proposed research topic to the IIS core research areas and/or the areas of interest of AKDN and/or the Jamati institutions; and ii) your commitment to contributing back to the IIS, ITREBs or AKDN.

2In exceptional circumstances, the IIS may consider an application that does not have a letter of acceptance attached. If this is your case, please explain the circumstances and submit a copy of your application, or application receipt, to your university together with this form.

3These letters must be sent directly from the referees to the IIS.

4The writing sample may be a paper you submitted as coursework. The maximum length of your writing sample should not exceed 2000 words.
