Goal 1:
All students will perform at or above grade level in numeracy and literacy at each transition point.

All students in every grade will be reading at or above grade level. / Every teacher will collect baseline data using GRADE+/T-Pro and Dibles.
Formative and Summative assessments will be given regularly to assure that students are making progress toward established goals.
Our RTA teacher/s, our Title I coordinator and/or our special ed. teachers will provide direct reading intervention for all primary students falling in the 1, 2 or 3 stanines on the T-PRO
A research based core reading program from Houghton Mifflin will be available for use in every grade level.
Only research based interventions, strategies and programs will be implemented in grade level RTI blocks to assure that every student has the opportunity to grow and improve reading and levels.
Open Response Live Scoring will be utilized a minimum of once a month in grades 3, 4 and 5to enhance student proficiency with O.R. questions.
GRADE+ will be given to all fourth and fifth graders in Dec. and in Apr./ May to determine student growth. / X

Ryland provides many opportunities, even during the school day, for student participation / We will continue to invite and engage students in some type of school activity even though many of the students who are not participating at school are engaged in rigorous extra- curricular activities like gymnastics and swimming / We know that students want to be in attendance at school so they can participate in extra activities / Teachers, Sponsors, Parents, YMCA partners / 8/09 –
