Scientific Method Sample Problem
Joe noticed his dog Wellington had been scratching his fur a lot in the past couple of weeks. After thinking about everything that had changed during that time, he decided that Wellington was reacting to either a new shampoo or a new dog food. He gave Wellington the old shampoo for two weeks and then he gave Wellington the new shampoo for two more weeks. He gave Wellington the old food for all 4 weeks. He fed Wellington the same amount of food and always at the same time. Wellington was also given baths every 3 days and the same amount of shampoo was used each time. He observed & recorded how much Wellington scratched throughout the whole four weeks. He found Wellington scratched more with the new shampoo.
