Poster Presentation Guidelines and Resources

M-OADN: Unleash the Super Power Within You

The M-OADN Convention Planning Committee would like to invite students to submit an abstract for a poster presentation at the M- OADN Convention to be held March 22 &23 at the BancorpSouth Arena & Conference CenterTupelo MS. This abstract submission is open to graduate and undergraduate students. Topics should be related to one of the following:

  • Hot Topics in Nursing
  • Evidenced Based Practice Projects
  • Social Networking Policies
  • Service Learning
  • Student Center Community

Overall Selection Criteria:

The committees will review abstracts for student posters based on the following criteria:

  • Applicable to the theme of the convention
  • Originality of the topic/presentation
  • Organization of the poster
  • Application to practice

Abstracts submissions:

  • Abstracts must be typed and single spaced.
  • Abstracts must be in narrative form and not exceed 250 words.
  • There should be NO identifying information in the body of the abstract
  • Title of the abstract should appear at the top
  • The following should be included in the abstract:

Your submission packet should include the following:

  • Presenter Information Form (1 copy)
  • Abstract (1 copy with student(s) name, 1 copy without student(s) or educational affiliations’ name)
  • Faculty Member Advisor Approval Form

Poster Presentation Display Criteria

  • Poster size is a minimum of 24in. X 36in. and a maximum of 45in X 93in.
  • Must be on a trifold board an able to stand on a table must be able to been seen from at least 10 feet away
  • Presenter should stand by their posters
  • Title should be the same as submitted with the abstract and boldface at the top of poster
  • Format for posters (no fast and hard rules just suggestions):
