Sports Premium Funding
What is the Sport Premium?
In April 2013 the Government announced new funding of 150 million for Physical Education (PE) and Sport often referred to as a Sport Premium. This funding is to be used to improve the quality and breadth of PE and Sport provision.
Current Provision
We are proud of the current PE curriculum provision at our school and of the wealth of extra-curricular opportunities that we provide for our pupils. Afterschool sports clubs include; Tae Kwondo, Football (Y1-Y6), netball, cricket, dodgeball.
We also run a Junior Play Leader program for our Year 5/6 pupils support sports activities at lunchtime.
All classes (Y1-6) have taken part in inter school sports activities such as cross country, Tag Rugby festival, KS1 Multiskills, Dance festival, Athletics festivals as well as our yearly annualFS, KS1 and KS2 Sports Days.
In addition to this,our school sports teams take part in leagues run by the London PE and School Sports Networkin football (boys and girls separately), netball and cricket.
Our Football A team (mixed) plays in the Lambeth and Southwark Primary Football League on Saturdays.
Sports Premium (2016-17 Academic Year)
Each school was given a standard sum of £8,000 and then £5 per child on roll.

FS Sports Day / £210 / All Reception children took part in a morning of potted sports attended by parents.
KS1 Sports Day / £210 / All KS1 children took part in a morning of field sports and races at St Saviour and St Olave's Sports Ground attended by parents.
KS2 Sports Day / £210 / All KS2 children took part in a morning of field sports and races at St Saviour and St Olave's Sports Ground attended by parents.
Sports Equipment / £500 / Children are able to access PE curriculum with correct, good quality resources.
Playground Equipment / £500 / Children are able to play sports activities at lunchtime. This improves health and fitness and behaviour for learning.
Sports Week / £500 / All children from YR-Y6 experienced a taster session of a sport they may not have tried before: YR Multiskills Y1 Dance Y2 Handball Y3 Cheerleading Y4 Blind football Y5 Fencing Y6 Tag Rugby
Play Leaders / £4,515 / We employ 2 play leaders to lead and manage sports activities at playtime and lunchtime. This promotes healthy lifestyles and minimises poor behaviour and gives children access to a wide variety of sporting activities.
Dance4All workshops / All classes took part in Dance Workshops – this extended our dance provision.
Meet Suleyman Bah – Paralympian Athlete (inspired through sport) / All children met and inspirational athlete who taught them about perseverance and resilience and self-belief as well as taking them through circuits.
