*Boys' Basketball's Blue and Gold Night is Thursday, November 19th. Come out and see the Freshmen Team play a group of our parents, the JV Team play our outstanding VHS Staff Team and see the 2015-16 Varsity play a group of former VHS stars. The games begin at 6:30. Food and drinks will be available. $3.00 general admission and only $1.00 for students. This is a major fundraiser for the boys' basketball program.
*CIF Football tickets are available at the finance window beginning tomorrow. The game will take place this Friday at Fred Kelly Stadium in Orange at 7 PM. Tickets are $5 for K-12 students with an ID and $10 General Admission. Bring your rally towel from the bell game, and let’s create a sea of blue and gold!
*Black Lights and Basketball dance is coming on January 8th. The dance will begin immediately following the varsity basketball game, so come out to watch the tigers, then join us for a little dance. Tickets are $5 with an ASB sticker and $10 without for the first 200 tickets sold. We have sold 77 tickets so far, and the prices will go up after the first 200. The basketball game will begin at 6:30 with the dance beginning around 8:30 and continuing for two hours.
*Seniors! If you ordered a Senior T-shirt or Hoodie, they are available for pick up at the finance window. Please stop by to pick up your Senior T-shirts and Hoodies today.
*A Fullerton College representative will be here tomorrow during both lunches in the college and career center.
*Seniors, college applications are due November 30, but this week is the last week to get help from Ms. Soria and the counselors in the College and Career Center. Submit your applications before Thanksgiving break!
* Are you interested in a health-related career? Then come to the College and Career Center on Monday, December 7 during single lunch to learn about nursing, veterinary technology, and occupational therapy at Stanbridge College in Irvine, CA.
* The deadline to submit any Disneyland Dreamers & Doers scholarship applications is this Friday to Mrs. Yaung. Students can see Ms. Soria in the College Career Center for more details or assistance completing the application.
*The Holocaust Art and Writing Contest is open to all students on campus. Entries must be art, film, poetry, or essay. The theme for this year is “Telling it Forward: Making Memory Matter.” If you are interested please talk to Mrs. Leon in Room 808 to receive more information and sign up.
*Attention Seniors: So Cal Grad will be back on campus today to take graduation announcement, class ring and cap & gown orders. They will be here during lunch on the Rally Stage. Bring your order form and down payment.
*The pancake breakfast will happen this Friday from 6:30 AM until 7:50 AM. Stop by for a plate of some pancakes before your first class.
*VSA, which stands for Vietnamese Student Association will be holding a meeting in Mr. Truong's room 111 today after school from 3 to 3:30. We'll be talking about upcoming social events and volunteering opportunities. Everyone is welcome!
*TIGER CHALLENGE! Be thankful for what you have. Look around you and appreciate things like family, friends, and your health. It’s not the material things that matter, as one of the most important aspects to happiness is appreciation for what we actually have.
