Meeting called to order at 6:13 pm

Ice Scheduler / · PW T3 cancelled 2 Friday practices and then asked to have them back. Still trying to firm up league games for PWT 3.
· Money will be coming for our gaming grant. The grant money will be allocated for ice for all teams. Ice will be available for all teams over and above the 3 exhibition games for the rep teams. The Division Directors will let teams know how much ice will be available for each team. This money is for all teams so we will try and make sure all teams benefit equally.
· The ice is still booked to host playoffs. Peewee House and Midget house are on the same weekend. Would we have enough ice to host both playoffs? Cynthia will check ice availability for hosting two division.
· Julie will try to get two playoffs for Nelson.
Referee in Chief / · RJ has receipts from Andrew Falcone and Ryan Blake. Liz will issue cheques for RJ to pick up.
· An NHL linesman is in Castlegar doing a ref session Thursday, October 13th. The cost for the 6 associations will be $50.00 each Motion RJ/Julie: NMH will donate $50 towards the expenses of the NHL Ref Session. All in favor, carried.
· BC Hockey wants one man on the ice for the cross ice Novice Group. This will give the junior refs a chance to get some ice times. This will help this group to get their 5 games required by NMH.
· RJ is wanting a time for a group photo for the refs on photo day. Action: Lisa will book a time slot.
Unfinished Business / · The Development 1 clinic is booked in Nelson Nov 18/19 and waiting on BC Hockey approval. Action: Julie will check to see if there is a Hybrid Clinic in the area
· Tabled: Castlegar is requesting NMH to give each rep team $500 towards a tournament to match the $500 they will give each team. Table Again.
New Business / · Our committee met in Castlegar for a shared boundaries meeting. The meeting wasn’t very productive as there were issues brought to the table about the Peewee Tier 3 team that should have been dealt with by NMH not the shared boundary committee. The next boundaries meeting will be November 16th.
President / · Doug Harrison sent an email asking for permission for Taylor Harrison and Shayla Elias to AP with the Kootenay Wild for the 2016/17 season. Cam will send Dara Waterstreet an email giving permission.
· Spokane league games should be following WK and BC hockey rules. All teams please make sure this is happening when there for league games.
· All motions involving spending money must be done at a meeting, not by email.
Vice President / · Payment to Rachel for power skating. Danny/Michelle Motion: Pay $75.00 to Rachel per session for power skating. All in favor, carried
· The new Atom Goalie doesn’t have equipment so Danny has found equipment for him from Michelle MacLean. Danny/Todd Motion: NMHA will pay the MacLeans $250 for the goalie equipment

Treasurer / · Report emailed
Novice / · Michelle is looking for funding to buy the barriers required for the new Novice program. The cost $3922 plus tax. Michelle/Danny Motion: NMH will purchase barriers for $3922.00 plus tax and possible shipping. All in favor, carried.
· Michelle will go to Boomtown and use the NMH credit to buy goalie gear for novice.
Atom / Absent
Pee Wee / · The Peewee Rep tournament has 3 tier 2 teams and 4 tier 3 teams registered.
Bantam / · No one stepped up to manage the Bantam house team so Michelle MacLean is helping.
· O/A player request for Ethan Luckett for Julie to take to WK.
Midget / · Cam worked with the two coaches to sort the two midget house teams. The selection process took a bit to balance the teams because of the ages of the players. An O/A request for Andrew Falcone will be submitted to WKMH.
Female
Secretary / · Next meeting Nov 9th Lisa will try to book at the Credit Union.
West Kootenay Rep / · Next meeting is October 18th. Michelle Hillaby will attend as the regional BC Hockey Novice Rep.
· 2 Atom players from Nelson requested to be moved to Castlegar to play Atom A. Castlegar voted no.
Tournament / · Peewee house tournament is full, 8 teams. Atom B full, 8 teams (4 on a waiting list). Bantam 5 teams (room for 8 teams), Midget 8 teams, Peewee Rep, 3 Tier 2 teams and 4 Tier 3 teams, room for 1 more Tier 2 team.
Risk Management / · Will NMH will do concussion testing again this year? Karen/Todd Motion: NMHA will pay for concussion testing for Atom, Peewee, Bantam and Midget for the 2016/17 season. All in favor, carried
· We will need to get 2 more first aid kits so that each team has one.
Fundraising / · Division Directors will need to send their roster to Ashley to track tickets sold. She is waiting on a proof from Hall Printing for the raffle. The tickets should be ready soon.
