CONDITIONS
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: €40,209
Base: Shine Cork, 14a Washington Street, Cork City and some travel for meetings will be required
PURPOSE
- Promote the aims and objectives of Shine
- Promote and model recovery ethos and values
- Ensuring the effective day to day running of the Cork centre
- Managing and supervising staff team
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the smooth operation of the Shine Cork Centre building
- Manage and ensure effective operation and delivery of the Shine Mental Health Resource Centre service
- Oversee the daily centre operations and coordinates centre activities
- Manage, lead and supervise staff team
- Manage the local centre programme budget
- Ongoing monitoring, evaluation and improvement of programme activities
- Work in partnership from a person centred recovery approach with Shine users
- Completion of programme and administrative reports and data recording as required by Shine
- Partnership working with all Shine Cork services
- Liaison with relevant funding agencies
- Liaison with other external statutory, community and voluntary organisations as required
- Participation in planning and development meetings as required
- Acting as the public representative of the Centre
- Work within and ensure staff compliance with all Shine Policy and Procedures and national legislation and best practice guidelines.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Recognised level 8 or higher qualification in Mental Health or related subject
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working within mental health
- Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory/management experience
- Understanding of complex impact of mental health on life
- Experience of working to an ethos of person centred services and recovery ethos and values within Mental Health
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft packages
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Management training/qualification
- Broad range of outside interests and skills that you are willing to share or incorporate into your work
