IN INTENSIVE CARE MEDICINE

(Recognized by RajivGandhiUniversity of Health Sciences)
Objective:
To provide an intense, structured training programme for Post MD/DNB (Anaesthesia/General Medicine) candidates, so as to enhance Care of Patients admitted to ICU with various disorders including post surgical status.
Duration of Course:
18 to 24 months (full time work as per RGUHS guidelines and not permitted to work elsewhere)
Eligibility:
1) MD/DNB – in Anaesthesia/General Medicine
2) Diploma in Anaesthesia with one year experience.
3) Candidates who are domicile of Karnataka are preferred
4) NRI (Foreign) Candidates must have MCI Registration
Certificate
Selection:
1) Candidates will be selected from a 4 member panel (Approved by
RGUHS)
2) If necessary entrance test will be conducted.
Fees & Stipend:
Fees : Rs.47, 410/-
Monthly stipend : Rs.30, 000/- per month
Note to the In-service Candidates:
1. In-service candidates should apply through Head of the Parent Department along with No-objection certificate. If the candidate is selected, he/she must submit Relieving order from the Parent Department at the time of admission.
2. No stipend will be paid for In-service Candidates and also to the sponsored Candidates.

2 / Sepsis leptospirossis, Pt, Aids & other special situations like MOF etc.
E / 1 / Ventilation-Modes & Management strategies
2 / Trancheostomy & NIV
F / 1 / Neuro critical care, SAH etc.

2 / Renal problems, ARF, PRT etc
Training includes:
1. / Weekly Seminars/Journal club2. / Monthly Lectures by faculty
3. / Infection Control Committee Meeting
4. / One publication or two representations at State/National level.
5 / Internal assessment every six months
