District 10AA Organizational Meeting

Schools Present: Brock, Boyd, Godley, Jacksboro, Millsap, Paradise, Peaster, Tolar (See Listing Below)

1.  Godley nominated Peaster as District 10AA chair seconded by Paradise. Motion Carried

2.  Peaster nominated Godley as District 10AA vice chair seconded by Brock. Motion Carried

3.  Chair persons were selected for the following contest/sports.

  1. Cross Country – Millsap
  2. Basketball – Peaster
  3. Baseball – Brock
  4. Track – Tolar (HS), Jacksboro (JH)
  5. Golf – Brock
  6. High School Academics – Godley
  7. Cross X Debate – Tolar
  8. Middle School Academics – Paradise
  9. Elementary Academics – Jacksboro
  10. High School OAP – Peaster
  11. Junior High OAP – Peaster
  12. Tennis – Brock
  13. Softball – Boyd

4.  All PAPF forms will go through Peaster ISD – motion by Godley, seconded by Paradise. Motion Carried

5.  All eligibility forms will go to contest chair – motion by Paradise, seconded by Godley. Motion Carried

6.  Each district will be issued 50 district family passes. All schools will honor senior citizen passes from any school in the district – motion by Godley seconded by Brock. Motion Carried

7.  Each district member will pay an annual fee of $2,750 to be billed after September 1 – motion by Brock seconded by Godley. Motion Carried

8.  Ticket prices set at $3 for adults and $2 for students for all events junior high and high school – motion made by Paradise seconded by Brock. Motion Carried

9.  Junior High district basketball will start November 22, High School basketball will start December 14 for girls and December 21 for boys. The game on December 21 may be played on December 20, if mutually agreed upon by both districts – motion by Brock seconded by Godley. Motion Carried

10.  Peaster will take care of ordering all awards for district contest – motion by Godley seconded by Paradise. Motion Carried

11.  Next meeting date will be May 12, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Brock High School. The fall organizational meeting will be September 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Brock High School.
