Our next meeting will be our Christmas Party luncheon held on December 11, 2013. The
luncheon will be catered by Bellini’s of Fuquay-Varina and served buffet style. The price
will be $15.00 per person. There will be three main dishes – Baked Ziti, Chicken Parmesan and Eggplant Parmesan – also mixed salad, bread, dessert and beverages.
There will also be entertainment at the party.
There are four openings left.

The next regular meeting will be on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Our regular programs will resume in January.

Remember the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the Chapel every Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Thank you to the members for the donations of canned & boxed foods that have been brought to the meetings. St. Bernadette's Food Pantry serves needy families all year long so your donations are greatly appreciated.
We will resume our pantry donations in January.

The dues are $15.00 per person starting in January.
Raul Barbeito will be accepting the dues for 2014 at the January meeting.
Please remember that if dues are not paid by March 31, 2014 you will no longer receive the Silver and Gold Newsletter and will be dropped from our membership.

Wednesday, January 22, 2014 – Watergate: Political Scandal & the Presidency Tour this exhibit at the NC Museum of History to learn more about this national political scandal that engrossed Americans in the early 1970’s as a Congressional Committee, led by North Carolina Senator Sam Ervin, investigated the Nixon White House. Findings ultimately led to President Richard M. Nixon’s resignation on August 9, 1974. Plus, The Tsars’ Cabinet: Two Hundred Years of Russian Decorative Arts Under the Romanovs and Windows into Heaven: Russian Icons from the Lilly and Francis Robicsek Collection of Religious Art. This Exhibit has a $5 charge to visit. Lunch could be at the restaurant in the science museum. It was great last time! Sign up at Christmas Party or contact Anita Kretchik.
April 7-11, 2014 – Nashville, TN. Five day/4 night tour run by Diamond Tours includes Grand Ole Opry Show and Nashville Nightlife Dinner Theater, guided tour of Nashville, admission to Country Music Hall of Fame and Willie Nelson & Friends Museum, guided tour of Belle Meade Plantation, ride on the Delta flatboats and Opryland Hotel. May 2, 2014 – Driving Miss Daisy – 7:30 pm show at Fletcher Opera House, Raleigh, NC. The charming, heart-warming tale of an unlikely life-changing friendship between elderly southern Jewish Matriarch, Daisy, and her chauffer. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize Award, and an Academy Award-Winning film, the plot explores race relations set in the backdrop of the prejudice, inequality, and civil unrest of the American south in the late 1940’s.
