Legal Profession Act 2006
- The Law Society Northern Territory pursuant to section 375(2) of the LegalProfession Act 2006 (the Act) and in accordance with the conditions set out in paragraph 3 of this instrument exempts the class of Australian legal practitioners being partners, and employees of Taylor David Lawyers from compliance with the section 376 of the Act.
- Pursuant to section 375 (2) of the Act, the period of exemption will be from 4.00pm on 30 June 2015 to 4.00pm on 30 June 2016, unless the instrument is earlier terminated by the Law Society Northern Territory.
- The exemption is subject to the following conditions:
(a)All legal practitionersthat are covered by this exemption must maintain professional indemnity insurance with respect to their legal practice, which contains terms and conditions accepted by the Law Society Northern Territory (accepted alternative policy).
(b)The accepted alternative policy is Queensland Law Society Incorporated Law Practice Professional Indemnity Insurance Master Policy 2013-2016 offered by Lexon Insurance.
(c)The legal practitioners that are covered by this exemption must provide satisfactory evidence to the Law Society Northern Territory that they are covered by the accepted alternative policy.

(b)The accepted alternative policy is the Professional Indemnity Insurance Policy for Barristers 2015-2016 offered by SuncorpInsurance.
(c)The legal practitioners that are covered by this exemption must provide satisfactory evidence to the Law Society Northern Territory that they are covered by the accepted alternative policy.

Firearms Act
Declaration of Amnesty
I, Reece P Kershaw, the Commissioner of Police, pursuant to Section 4(6) of the Firearms Act, (the Act) declare that, during the amnesty period on and from 1July2015 to and including 30 September 2015, the provisions of the Act specified in the Schedule do not apply to a person who is in physical possession of a firearm if –
(a)the person is, pursuant to this amnesty, transporting the firearm to a police station for surrender by the most direct route; or
(b)the person has made an arrangement with a member of the Police Force to collect the firearm on the person’s behalf from an agreed place; or
(c)the person has made an arrangement with a member of the Police Force to surrender the firearm at a police station, and
(i)the firearm is securely stored between the time of making the arrangement; and
(ii)the person has commenced transporting the firearm to the police station; and
(iii)the firearm is not retained in the person’s possession for more than 24 hours after making the arrangement.

Naming of Places
Roads in Durack, Town of Palmerston
I, David William Tollner, Minister for Lands and Planning, under section11D(1) of the Place Names Act, give notice that:
(a)on the recommendation of the Place Names Committee for the NorthernTerritory, I have approved the naming of roads in Durack, Town of Palmerston; and
(b) the name and location of each road is as indicated on CompiledPlan5500, which may be inspected at the office of the Surveyor-General, 3rd Floor NABHouse, 71 Smith Street, Darwin; and
(c)the names are recorded in the register kept by the Committee, which may be inspected on the Committee's website at:
