Applicants must submit their materials directly to Florida Sea Grant and have letters of recommendation and transcripts sent directly from their source (letter writers and university registrar, respectively). - Provide two letters of recommendation, which must be sent directly by the letter writers (they can sign, scan and email). Suggested persons whom you might want to ask include university major professor or counselor, university club advisors, a former employer, etc.
- A signed letter from the student’s faculty advisor on university letterhead that says ‘[student name] is applying for the 2018 Aylesworth Scholarship. I hereby affirm that this student is enrolled full-time and is in good standing, and that I am [her/his] faculty advisor during the scholarship period. If the scholarship is awarded, I will affirm on a yearly basis that the student continues to be enrolled full-time and has maintained good status.’
