SHEFFIELD JUNIOR CLOSED TENNIS TOURNAMENT
Monday 24th July to Friday 28th July 2017
Entrantsmust reside, or be members of a club, in the area covered by the Sheffield & District LTA (within twenty five miles of the centre of Sheffield) and be a British Tennis Member.
The tournament is sanctioned by the LTA and will be run in accordance with the ITF rules of tennis including the LTA Code of Conduct. To enter go to log on, ‘Players’, ‘Find a Competition’, enter YOR17S1766 in the lower search bar.
Age qualification refers to 31 Aug e.g.14 & Under entrants must be 14 or under on 31 A ug 2017
Players may enter another LTA t’ment in the same week providing there is no disruption to either t’ment.
The seeding for the tournament will be based on players' LTA ratings. Where players have the same rating a player's LTA national ranking at the time of the draw will determine the seeding. Singles and doubles results will count towards LTA ratings and rankings.
Players can enter a maximum of four events, being two consecutive age group singles events, one boys or girls doubles, and one mixed doubles event. Your doubles partner must send in a separate entry with fee.
9 & Under and 10 & Under events. If there are insufficient entries for either event, the organisers retain the right to merge into a single mixed event.
A player who withdraws after the withdrawal deadline or fails to appear without notifying the referee, or defaults during the tournament will incur penalty points. Visit the LTA website for further information.
Consolation events will be run where viable.
Entrants must sign in on arrival and not leave the grounds without the referee’s permission
Entrants who are not available when required to play will be scratched and incur penalty points.
Recognised tennis dress must be worn; no trainers, football kit or beachwear.
The referee's decision in all matters will be final.
