Class1 Two 454gJarsof Light Honey
Class2 Two 454g Jars Medium Honey
Class 3 Two 454g Jars Dark Honey
Class 4 Two 454g Jars Naturally Granulated Honey
Class 5Two 454g Jars of Honey Gathered in 2018
Class 6Beginner’s Honey: one jar 454g honey, any variety, open to members who started beekeeping in 2017 or 2018
Class 71 Frame of Honeycomb: suitable for extraction by centrifuge or pressing
Class 8 Two Pieces of Cut Comb Honey: presented in standard commercial containers.
Class 9 One 227g Cake of Beeswax: plainly moulded.
Class 10 Three Matching Beeswax Blocks; each piece to weigh 28g (1oz)
Class 11Two Matching Beeswax Candles: made by any method; to be displayed erect; may be lit by the judge.
Class 12One Decorative Beeswax Candle: any shape or size; may be coloured; to be displayed erect; may be lit by the judge.
Class 13One Bottle of Sweet or Dry Mead.
Class 14One Plain Honey Cake: made to any recipe – 2 copies to be supplied; not to exceed 20cm in diameter.
Class 15Six Decorated Cupcakes: made to any recipe – must contain honey. 2 copies of recipe to be supplied
Class 16Six Biscuits or Cookies Containing Honey: may be decorated;
2 copies of recipe to be supplied
Class 17One Photographic Print: depicting any aspect of bees or beekeeping; maximum A4; with a title.
Class 18An Item of Craft: depicting bees or beekeeping.
Class 19 Any two home created products containing honey and/or wax. Ingredients to be listed
Class to be judged in the hall by members.
Class 20 1 jar of liquid honey judged solely on taste and aroma
Exhibits must be collected following the judging and by 3.30pm
JUDGING WILL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH BBKA SHOW RULES (1994)
ADVISORY LEAFLET NO.22 UNLESS AMENDED BY THIS SCHEDULE.

- All exhibitors must be fully paid up members of Preston Beekeepers Association
- All exhibits must be produced by the exhibitor or a member of their immediate family.
- Exhibitors may make up to two entries in a class but shall not take more than one award in that class.
- Honey class entries of two jars must contain the same type of honey.
- If you have any doubt about the colour of your honey, please check prior to the staging with the Show Secretary.
EVERY CARE WILL BE TAKEN OF EXHITS, BUT PRESTON BBKA CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE WHICH MAY ARISE.
