From Route 295 south of Route 50: Head north on Route 295. Interstate 295 becomes DC 295. A few exits up from Benning Road, on the right is the Eastern Avenue Exit. Take this to the light. At the light make a U turn to the left onto a southbound service road. After the U turn, Kenilworth Avenue (Route 295) should be on your left, and apartments on the right. Go down two streets and make a right onto Douglas Street. At the end of Douglas Street, make a right onto Anacostia Avenue. The park is about a block and a half up from there on the left.
From Route 295 north of Route 50, or Route 50: Take Route 295 south. Take the Eastern Avenue Exit. At the top of the ramp, go straight through the light, down the service road. Kenilworth Avenue should be on your left, and apartments on the right. Go down two streets and make a right onto Douglas Street. At the end of Douglas Street, make a right onto Anacostia Avenue. The park is about a block and a half up from there on the left. If you miss the exit, take the next one, take the first right. At the end of the street make another right, and continue to the park near the end of Anacostia Avenue.
From Route 66 west: Take the Capital Beltway, Route 495, north and east. Take it almost all the way to the other side, to pick up the Baltimore Washington Parkway toward Washington. Where the Parkway ends, bear to the left, toward Rt. 295 south (Kenilworth Avenue). Merge to the right one lane on Route 295, and take the Eastern Avenue Exit. At the top of the ramp, go straight through the light, down the service road. Kenilworth Avenue should be on your left, and apartments on the right. Go down two streets and make a right onto Douglas Street. At the end of Douglas Street, make a right onto Anacostia Avenue. The park is about a block and a half up Anacostia Avenue on the left. If you miss the exit take the next one, go right to the end of the street, make a right and continue to nearly the end of Anacostia Avenue.
By Metro: Take the orange line to the Deanwood Stop in Northeast Washington. Take the Polk Street (tunnel)exit from the station. As you look down the street toward Kenilworth Avenue you should see a pedestrian overpass. Take the pedestrian overpass across Kenilworth Avenue. As you come down the ramp you will see Douglas Street. Go left on Douglas Street. At the end of Douglas Street, make a right onto Anacostia Avenue. Enter any open gate on your left. Total distance is about a half-mile.
