Meeting Started @ 7:05 pm
1. / Minutes:Amy read minutes from September meeting.
No changes needed Kelly Case motioned that they be accepted as read and Susie Moore seconded the montion.
2. / Financial Report: Susie reported balance as of 10/6/2013.
Opening balance on 9/1/2013 was $676.32 there were deposits from 50/50, Albertsons and Craft Fair in the amount of $832.79 for an ending balances of $832.79. No changes noted financial report to will be filed.
3. / Fundraising Reports:
Craft Fair:
  • Kelly Case reported that is is fom 10 - 4 pm and already have vendords signed up. Booths are $50 and $10 if the want a table.
  • Pictures with Santa are a fundraiser for the Senior Class. Hope this will bring people in the doors.
  • Vendors will be asked to donate one item that will later be used for raffles.
  • Signs have been ordered.
  • Need to have it communitcated on Facebook, event calendars and will be on EMSISD Community tab.
  • Students can volunteer for NHS hours and extra raffle tickets at event.
Applebees Pancake Breakfast:
  • Deb Dehart has set up December 7th from 7:30 - 9:30 am at the Applebees on Saginaw Main.
  • Tickets are $8 a plate, this is not an all you can eat. There is a cap of 250 plates.
  • Volunteers need to be there at 7:15 am.
  • Decided if this is successful will do a two day event in the spring.
50/50 at football games:
  • These have been held at home football games.
  • Will continue through the last game on 11/8.
Flamingo Flocking:
  • Donna McCauley not available to give a report.
  • Amy will verify that it is ok publish Donna's contact information to keep the flock moving.
Mexican Dinner/Silet Auction:
  • As of now there is no chair for this event.
  • Tentative date set for February 7th. This is the date of the boys basketball game against Birdville.
Christmas Tour of Homes:
  • Amy will make some contacts on this and report back at the next meeting.

4. / Tentative Fundraising:
Cooking Classes:
  • Carol Siegel reported that Adam would hold classes.
  • Maximum 10 people per class and the cost would to $100 a person.
  • Class would last two - three hours.
  • Class can be individualized to a specific theme and include shopping tips, receipe help.
Car Raffle:
  • Carol Siegel stated that she had no information to report at
Rummage Sale(s):
  • Event will be in the spring.
  • No date or further information at this time.
Flamingo Flocking:
  • Donna McCauley not available to give a report.
  • Amy will see if there is a problem publizigin her information to keep the flock moving.
Football pool:
  • Debbie Hale presented a sheet on doing a football pool for the Texas OU football game.
  • Changes and clarifications were made and it will be sent out next week.

5. / Tentative Fundraising:

  • Bubbas Back 40.
  • Invitation House

6. / Venue:
Contracts were presented for two locations:
  • Main Event - quoted $55 a student.
  • It'z - quoted $43 a student.
  • Debra Dehart motioned that It'z be used for the event Carol Seigel 2nd the motion.
  • All in attendance voted for there was no one opposed.
Will seek input from seniors on what events they would like to have at It'z in addition to what is already provided. A letter will be drafted to be given out at the senior meeting next week.
