Job Purpose
To deliver a consistently high standard of programmes and projects to agreed deliverables, in time and on budget. Ensure that all clients, post implementation become a positive reference site. Oversee other projects being delivered by colleagues acting as senior reviewer and champion of raising standards and good practice.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Project manage multiple projects throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Programme Manage agreed projects
  • Mentor more junior Project Managers helping to develop their approach, skills and capability
  • Ensure the financial management of projects is clearly evident.
  • Manage the change process on projects
  • Support the sales team in pre-sales activities and tender responses
  • Ensure effective handovers are completed to the managed services team
  • Establish strong and effective relationships with the clients project team
  • Identify further sales opportunities during the project
  • Assist in ensuring Symatrix resources are appropriately deployed, ensuring accurate forecasting in terms of timescales and revenue
  • Lead the Symatrix team involved in the project and ensure the delivery of all aspects of the service are delivered to either the agreed service levels or to the highest professional standards and the team are fully supported
  • Look to identify and implement ways Symatrix can improve how it operates

Person Specification – Knowledge / Experience / Skills / Qualities
Essential:
  • Proven experience of Oracle ERP Project Management experience
  • Project Management Qualification
  • Proven record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Understanding of IT Project delivery
  • Understanding of HR Systems delivery
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of managing projects through the full project lifecycle
  • Demonstrate proactive management and problem solving
  • Managing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of working with 3rd party suppliers
  • Willingness to travel and stay away from home
Desirable:
  • Experience of Oracle HRMS implementation or similar e.g. PeopleSoft, SAP, ADP
  • Experience of Oracle HCM Cloud or other SaaS software e.g. Workday, SuccessFactors
  • Previous Consultancy Experience
  • Experience of responding to ITT /RFPs
  • Pre-sales experience.
