South Northumberland Branch of the Pony Club
Stable Management Unmounted Rally Programme 2017
Introduction
In previous years South Northumberland Branch of the Pony Club has organised a programme of training to support members towards achieving their C+ and B efficiency tests. This year we want to try a widening participation approach. We are not proposing to run test specific training for C+ or B, instead we are piloting the addition of unmounted rallies for all members over the age of 12 (or those who have passed their C test if under 12) and wish to learn more about stable management.
These rallies will be open to all members 12 years and over (or those who have passed their C test if under 12) whether you want to do tests or just broaden your knowledge of stable management.
Those who do wish to go forward for a test can express their interest and will be assessed through the programme and offered an opportunity to take their test when the instructors feel you have gained enough understanding, knowledge and able to apply the skills learnt. As a minimum if you would like to go forward for the test you must attend at least 1 session of each topic/syllabus area.
This programme should complement your own personal study which will ensure your knowledge and understanding is well established prior to attempting your test.
Your attendance at the stable management sessions will count as a rally but remember for team selections you still need to get your horse rallied up!
Whilst not essential it is recommended that the following test workbooks are purchased.
