DCBFA/NCBFFA Certified Export Specialist (CES) Program Prep Course and Exam.

Are you currently a supervisor within your company?

If so, you may be qualified to grandfather into the CES program!

To assist candidates with the exam the NCBFFA, in association with the DCBFA, is offering a review course followed by the CES Exam.

How to Grandfather into the CES Program

In order to qualify you must:

• Have 10 years minimum experience with an OTI (Freight Forwarder, NVOCC) or an exporter.

• Hold a supervisory or management position within current company.

• Complete an application that must be accompanied by certification on company letterhead by an officer of the company verifying position/title of applicant.

• Pass a required knowledge exam (Passing score is 75%), and once achieved:

• Pay the required fee of $95.00 ($80 for MOU participating companies) to register after passing the exam.

Review Course & Exam

·  Registration at 8:00 a.m., course starts promptly at 8:30 a.m. followed by lunch and the exam.

·  Review Course and Exam: $125.00 for DCBFA members, $250.00 for non-members (both include lunch).

·  Exam only: $100.00 for DCBFA members, $200.00 for non-members.

To register for the upcoming CES Grandfathering Review/Exam

• Send the application along with the verification of position on company letterhead to Ed Dougherty at either or fax it to 248.474.3865. All applications are due no later than October 1st.

·  All applications will be vetted with the NCBFFA to ensure that the applicant does qualify for CES Grandfathering before the course.

·  The application will be notified once vetting is confirmed and the class fee will be due to the DCBFA no later than October 15th. The fee can either be sent to Ed Dougherty or to Bob Gaydo at the following address:
