Navajo-Churro Sheep Association Annual Meeting and Event, September 2018

The N-CSA Annual Meeting and Celebration will be held at The Arriola Community Center is approximately 10 miles north of Cortez CO. From Cortez take Highway 491 north to MC RD S. You will see a green sign that says Arriola. Turn left and travel west about 1.5 miles to the Community Center. The center has a fully equipped certified kitchen, two small meeting rooms and a large room. The grounds are grassed with outdoor cooking area, restrooms and baseball field.

Booth Dimensions and Fees: Outdoor spaces 10x10 are available to vendors fee is $15 per day. This fee is also applicable to those who intend to sell sheep however, more space may be allotted. You must bring your own tables and canopies. Please know that late September in Colorado may be cool and rainy.

Important Dates: You must reserve a vending space no later than September 15th. Spaces are available on a first come first serve basis. Vendors may set up starting at 2PM on Thursday. Market hours for vending 9AM-5PM on Friday the 21st and 9AM to 4PM on Saturday the 22nd. All booths and must be taken down area cleaned up by 9AM on Sunday the 23rd. The wool show is on Friday the 21st and the Sheep Show is on the 22nd. See program details for more information. Separate registration form is available for sheep and wool shows.

Application Process: Please fill out the Vendor Agreement Form. Payment may be made at the event. Vendors must be selling or providing services and information related to sheep, wool, fiber arts and crafts, fiber processing, farming, ranching, livestock breed conservation and sheep production.

Requirements/Obligations:
1. You must provide your own mobile vending unit, cart, and tables, chair, tent, etc.

2. It is advised that you should carry your own insurance. You acknowledge that you are responsible for securing your property at all times.

3. Food vendors must comply with all Colorado State and Federal regulations.

4. Camping is open starting Thursday afternoon for those traveling with sheep and vendors who have outdoor booths. Water, bathrooms and an outdoor cooking area are available. Camping fee $10 per night per vehicle. You are responsible for cleaning up after your animals! Campers must be out by 9 AM Sunday the 23rd. No more than four people will be allowed to camp per party.

5. For those bringing sheep: You must agree to be 100% responsible for providing safe and secure enclosures for their sheep. Please note that the property is not fenced! All sheep from outside of Colorado must have a health certificate. All sheep must have proper scrappies ID ear tag.

6. Vendors are responsible for leaving a clean area at closing.

7. No dogs are allowed. No alcohol is allowed. No loud noises, music or other nuisances are allowed.

8. The Navajo-Churro Sheep Association not cover product liability for individual vendors or liability for personal damages caused by your vending activities or participation in events. You must recognize and acknowledge that you assume full risk of any injury, property damage or loss, which you cause or may sustain as a result of your participation in the 2018 Navajo-Churro Sheep Association Annual Meeting (AGM) Events.

9. Tax and Licensing Information: All state and local taxes and licensing are the responsibility of the individual vendor. Sales tax and licensing information and forms are available at

I have read the Vendor/Participant Information on page one and I also understand and assume all risks associated with participation, including but not limited to falls; contact with other people and animals; the effects of weather, including high heat and/or humidity; the conditions of the paved and unpaved areas of the property; damage, theft or loss of property; personal injury and all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand that I should carry my own insurance and that I store my products and personal belonging overnight at my own risk. I understand that the Navajo-Churro Sheep Association, or its agents, officers, board members, representatives, event sponsors, partners, volunteers, heirs or successors are not responsible for my safety or the safety of my property during this event or are responsible for any damage caused to myself or my property during this event.
Therefore, on behalf of ______(organization/non-profit/business/proprietorship) and in recognition of the risk of incident while participating in Navajo-Churro Sheep Association Annual Meeting (AGM) Event, and as consideration for the right to participate in the Event, I hereby for myself, my heirs, employees or personal representatives knowingly and voluntarily enter into this waiver and release of liability (Agreement) and hereby waive any and all rights, claims or causes of action of any kind whatsoever arising out of my participation in the Event, and do hereby release and forever discharge Navajo-Churro Sheep Association against the Navajo-Churro Sheep Association, or its agents, officers, board members, representatives, event sponsors, partners, volunteers, heirs or successors (collectively, Releasees) thereof from any and all liability, claims, demands, damages, actions, or causes of action now existing or which hereinafter may arise as a result of my participation in the Navajo-Churro Sheep Association Annual Meeting (AGM) and Events, whether any injury is caused by the negligence of the Hosts, the negligence of myself or third parties, the conditions of the course or any other cause.

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees against any and all claims, suits or actions of any kind whatsoever for liability, damages, compensation or otherwise brought by me or anyone on my behalf, including attorney’s fees, if litigation arises on account of claims made by me or anyone on my behalf.

I declare, on behalf of ______(organization/non-profit/business/proprietorship) that I (we) will be held liable for any damage or destruction done by our participants at the event. I hereby declare that I have read and fully understand this Agreement in its entirety and that, signing below, I assent to all of the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement.
