Electromagnetic Spectrum Foldable

·  Take 2 pieces of paper – fold each piece into 3 equal sections

o  Tape the two pages together – end to end

·  Draw a wave across both pages to show the long wavelength moving to the short wavelength

o  Or draw the different wavelengths for each section to show the changes in wavelengths

o  Label the ends of the spectrum as long wavelength and short wavelength

o  Label the ends of spectrum as low frequency and high frequency

·  Label each section with the name of that category of wave:
Radio Waves ~ Microwaves ~ Infrared ~ Visible Light ~ Ultraviolet ~ X-rays & Gamma Rays

·  In each section include the following things:

o  characteristics of this type of wave (key facts & properties)

o  how is this type of wave used or found in industry or everyday lives

o  draw images of at least two uses for this type of wave
