BROAD SPECTRUM protests against both UVB and UVA rays.
Layering SPF 15 and SPF 30 DOES NOT ADD UP TO SPF 45.
The sun’s damaging rays are also reflected off sand, pavement and other surfaces.
Two severe sunburns by age 18 more than doubles a person’s chances of developing skin cancer later in life.
During a full day at the beach, you should apply 2 to 4 ounces of sunscreen.
The sun can damage eyes as well as skin. (Retinal damage and cataracts).
Some medications can make you more sensitive to UVA rays; such as tetracycline, diuretics or certain medications like ibuprofen.
