Purpose of the Role: To Manage the administrative and or finance function within a School
Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, organize and monitor support systems and procedures
Contribute to the development of administration policies
Provide support, advice and guidance on administrative issues to Senior Staff, Governing Body and others
Liaise with other staff, pupils parents and carers and external agencies
Develop and maintain recording and information systems including personnel staff.
Undertake analysis and interpretation of data and produce detailed reports and complex information
Operates bespoke School information systems
Responsible for completion and submission of forms, returns, etc. including those to outside agencies
Produce and respond to correspondence
Responsibility for petty cash and banking of cash
Arrange for payment of invoices for stocks, including checking supplier statements
Allocate work to administration staff
Manage / supervise administrative staff
Individualsinthisrolemayalsoundertakesomeorallofthefollowing:
Manage the Schools financial processes and budgets i.e. collate VAT returns and payments
Monitor service contracts, school licenses and insurance
Contribute to marketing and promotion of the School
Manage lettings and the use of premises for the use of outside organisations and local community
Coordinate, purchase, repair and maintenance of furniture and fittings
Responsible for effective operation of payroll system
KnowledgeKnowledge of administration policies and procedures
Good knowledge of ICT packages and systems (word, power point, Excel, SIMS, FMS)
NVQ level 4 (or equivalent) in business and administration
Working at level 1 of the NASBM professional standards
