Drahthaar News - - 20.08.2009
Hi all.
The message below that is in italics and underlined is a copy & paste from an email that I recently received from Mark Heuer, our GNA Director of Judge Development. I sent out a message to the Great Lakes Chapter judges making them aware of the new publication. I have received a couple of responses from them indicating that they were aware of the new document and were either already in possession of it or had it on order. I am among those who have ordered the new VZPO but haven’t received it yet. When I do I will review it with some other judges and make sure that we are using the same criteria as the rest of GNA. The VZPO is the manual that the judges use in both the VJP and HZP. All of the regulations for association breed tests are included in it and many of us consider it required reading for handlers and judges alike. It costs $20 and is available both through the website order form and the one in the newsletter. As many of you know, there have been questions and concerns about the rules governing “manner of retrieve” in the previous edition of the VZPO. It is rumored [and hoped] that this new “VZPO Second Edition 2007” will clarify murky areas and answer questions.

Subject: New Edition of VZPO Test Regulations
Dear fellow GNA Judge and Apprentice Judges,
On behalf of Mike Talbot(GNA Director of Testing) and myself, I am
writing to inform you of a new edition of the VZPO that was released
earlier this year. This "2nd edition 2007" is now the required
latest VZPO test regulations and invalidates any and all previous
translations of the VZPO.
Many of you may have already picked up your new edition of the VZPO
and we thank you for doing that. However, if you haven't we'd like
to ask that you do so soon, and in time for the fall 2009 testing season.
I have attached the "document & forms" order form for you
convenience. You can also access this form on-line at
. All orders are processed by Lona Kluck,
GNA's Document Distributor. A new edition of the VGPO regulations
was not released this year.
Thank you very much for you continued dedication and commitment to
the GNA and the JGHV testing system.
Sincerely,
Mark Heuer Director of Judge Development
