Spring 2013 Principal Investigator. Exploring attitudes toward older adults and working in the field of gerontology amongst social work and psychology students, faculty, and practitioners. Created survey package, data collection, statistical analysis and manuscript preparation.

Spring 2013 Co-Principal Investigator. Promoting health and academic achievement among lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender college students. Participated in the development of a scale to measure LGBT microagressions, performed psychometric analysis, and contributed to manuscript preparation.

Spring 2012 Co-Principal Investigator. Does social work education make a difference in terms of attitudes toward gays and lesbians? Created survey package, data collection, statistical analysis, and manuscript preparation.

Spring 2011 Principal Investigator. A test of terror management theory: The role of death anxiety in explaining ageism in social work students. Prepared the instrument package for a multi-site distribution (Texas, Pennsylvania, New York, Alabama, England, and Australia), data collection and analysis, and manuscript preparation.

Fall 2010 Principal Investigator. Exploring the benefits of storytelling for older adults: An analysis of a blog. Performed content analysis of stories that were written as part of a program (Best Day of My Life, So Far) at a Philadelphia senior center, ran focus groups, and manuscript preparation.

Fall 2010 Co-Principal Investigator. Survey of social work faculty’s attitudes and knowledge of various social groups. Developed an online survey instrument to explore issues of ageism, sexism, and sexual prejudice, data collection, and manuscript preparation.

Summer 2010 Principal Investigator. Exploring youth perspectives on violence: A participatory based research approach. Designed and implemented a project utilizing photovoice methodology, collected qualitative and quantitative data, and data analysis.

2007-2009 Research Assistant. Exploring antigay biases in students who are
