Job Title:Domestic Violence Prevention Programme

(Bridging to Change)

Programme Co-ordinator

Salary:Grade 3 £28,000

Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week)

Contract:Fixed term contract to 31st March 2020

Location: Greater Manchester (Central office base Trafford)

Accountability:To the Head of Domestic Abuse Service’sfor the development and coordination of the Domestic Violence Prevention Programme and Integrated Partner Support Service across Greater Manchester.

Job Purpose:To co-ordinate programme delivery across Greater Manchester. Develop and manage data collection and reporting structures within the DVPP programmes.

Direct Reports:2 Senior Practitioners, 5Project Facilitators and 2 Integrated Partner Support Workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Line manage the Bridging to Change Team across Greater Manchesterproviding regular one-to-ones and performance appraisals and organising team meetings.
  1. Develop and manage the use of new digital case management system.
  1. Manage day to day processes of data collection, quality assurance and reporting within the DVPP and Integrated Support Services
  1. Build key relationships with partner agencies, local authorities and commissioners across Greater Manchester
  1. Represent Relate GMS and Bridging to Change specifically at appropriate multi-agency meetings across Greater Manchester
  1. Publicise the project by delivering presentations at MARACs, Safeguarding meetings, Social Work Team Meetings and Community Safety Partnership events across Manchester andSalford
  1. Establish relationships with all local authority departments and the voluntary and community sector across Greater Manchester
  1. Manage the development and implementation of new contracts won in across Greater Manchester
  1. Support the Head of Service and Senior Practitioners to retain Respect accreditation for the Bridging to Change programme across Greater Manchester.
  1. Support the Head of Service with recruitment and induction of new staff.
  1. Attend and contribute to Relate GMS Team meetings.
  1. Perform any other duties within the general scope of this job profile or as reasonably required by the line manager
  1. Deal with confidential information and ensure that all records and files are kept up to date.
  1. Commit to continuous professional development through engagement in the Relate GMS annual training plan and other specific courses agreed with the Head of Service.

Essential Requirements:

  • Project Management experience
  • Experience of completing contract reporting, quality assurance and analysis of programme data
  • Good knowledge of the issues surrounding domestic abuse
  • Experience of delivering first line management, including one-to-ones and performance appraisal
  • Experience of partnership working across the public, private and voluntary sectors
  • High level presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Ability to understand, review and contribute to strategic documents

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience of working in the domestic abuse sector
  • Experience of managing domestic abuse perpetrator programmes
  • First Line Management qualification
  • Experience of brokering partnership agreements with regard to the exchange of funding specifically.
