PADDLERS INFORMATION

Each paddler must attend the paddlers meeting in the morning at 08H35.

Final Prizegiving will be held at 16H30 or if the event is running ahead of schedule, prizegiving will be held once the racing is complete and results are finalised.

Pleasenote that this event does form part of the pre-paid race entry system. All paddlers wishing to enter this event must be registered with WCCU for 2016/7 or for 2017/8. This includes K2 partners for all events. Unregistered paddlers will not be allowed to enter or race.

Entries close Thursday16thMarch at 12H00. No late entries will be considered under any circumstances. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY! Please do not turn up expecting to race if you have not pre-entered as all the batches for the heats will have been finalisedbefore the event.

NOTES: Categories will be combined where insufficient entries are received. Three boats are required for a category to be raced. Age groups are all calculated according to the current ICF age category rules.

Some basic rules.

  1. The competition will be run in accordance with the latest ICF rules for flat-water racing.
  2. Competitors must be registeredmembers of a canoe club affiliated to CSA.
  3. Competitors may only participate in the events they have entered for.
  4. All kayaks must conform to CSA specifications.
  5. Any competitor arriving at the start with an incorrectly numbered kayak will not be allowed to start.
  6. Where less than 12 kayaks have entered for an event the heats and semi-finals will fall away and straight finals will be run.
