Mid-Michigan Migrant & EL Program Staff Professional Development
2016-17
All Mid-Michigan Staff will be offered multiple professional development opportunities: Academic Language and Literacy Using the SIOP Modeltraining, MPIs (writing content standards and language standards),using technology to build background and vocabulary for migrant students, data collection & analysis, and completing a Comprehensive Needs Assessment will also be a priority for the 2016-17 school year and will be reflected in the Mid-Michigan’s Migrant and EL Professional Development Plan. The MMMEP staff will begin to add to the already existing Tool Chest of Best Instructional Practices for English Learners and migrant students to the Mid-Michigan Migrant and EL Program’s website.
