About the Scholarship

The QUT Business School and the Australian Tax Office are pleased to be offering a scholarship to contribute to the academic and career success of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The scholarship will support a student who is continuing a Bachelor of Business degree in 2016 in any major/discipline to undertake a 160 hour internship with the Australian Tax Office.

Award Duration and Value

The scholarship is tenable for one year and is valued at $4,000, paid post-census in two semester instalments.

Who is Eligible?

This scholarship is open to:

  • students who identify as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island descent;
  • who are Australian citizens and permanent residents;
  • who are currently enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Business (BS05) at QUT;
  • who are entering their second or thirdyearof study in 2016;
  • andwho have achieved a GPA of 4 or above with passes in all units.

NB. Applicants holding Commonwealth or Equity Scholarships or bursaries are eligible to apply.

Successful applicants will need to provide confirmation of Aboriginality via email to the Oodgeroo Unit.
