Research Interests
Μέσα από το ερευνητικό έργο, το εκπαιδευτικό έργο σε μεταπτυχιακό επίπεδο, τα ερευνητικά προγράμματα και τη δραστηριότητα του Μουσείου Φυσικής Ιστορίας Κρήτης, τα σύγχρονα ερευνητικά ενδιαφέροντα και οι δραστηριότητές μου επικεντρώνονται:
· Στην εξελικτική νησιωτική οικολογία και βιογεωγραφία.
· Στη σύνθεση και δυναμική της βιολογικής ποικιλότητας στο Αιγαίο και στην Ανατολική Μεσόγειο.
· Στην επίδραση και τη σχέση του ανθρώπου με το φυσικό περιβάλλον.
· Στη διαχείριση και προστασία ειδών, οικοτόπων και οικοσυστημάτων.
· Στην περιβαλλοντική εκπαίδευση και σωστή περιβαλλοντική ευαισθητοποίηση.
