Agenda for the Meeting of 19th January 2009, at 7:30 pm in the Stocks

Members: Old members, new members, Ecclesfield residents and others interested in conservation in Ecclesfield are welcome to join us. We pass round a sheet of paper, so that we can record the total number of people attending. Those who give (or who have previously given) their email addresses, will receive an electronic agenda before each meeting, and an electronic copy of the minutes following it.

Agenda
1.Welcome to all members, new members and guests.
2.-3. Minutes of previous meeting approved or amended, please allow for any deviation due to evening circumstances.
4. Any matters arising to be dealt with through agenda.
5. Christmas Tree in St. Mary's Church. Thanks to B.S. June B, P.B and K.F. for decorating tree. We believe that we came 6th overall in the judging, but taking part and promoting our group was main aims.
6. Ecclesfield Christmas Tree. Thanks to all the people involved in putting up the 20 ft plus tree - no mean feat. Lighting it was a good exercise. Those involved in taking it down and disposing of it afterwards deserve thanks and a special thanks to J.H. for obtaining necessary machinery and expertise and handling the labourers to encourage enthusiasm.
7. Grant Applications
Keith Fish to outline North East Panel application .
Peter Barker to give report on grants obtained and their potential uses.
8. Village Green. Suggested that a sub committee be set to cover all essential information required along with necessary forms and filling in of forms.
9. Traffic Issues. A run down by J. E. is on any progress.
10. Fly Tipping. The situation which brought about this subject appears on the surface to have been stopped.
11. Finger Post Signs. S.H. to give us a progress update.
12. NEW PROJECTS. We need to look into what you as members would like to see brought to the fore and considered for 2009. It is very important as grants for financial aid have to be placed with local councils sooner than later and the earlier we apply ion 2009 the better chance we will have in acquiring grants.
13. Any other business.
14. To confirm the date of the next Meeting.

Amendments to previous minutes
Rachel Sanchez who helped on the Town End Road bulb planting has emailed to say that she is now Sheffield’s Allotments Ranger.
