Are you an 8th grader interested in working in the library this year? Mrs. Goodwin is seeking dedicated and responsible students to work at the circulation desk before, after school, and during nutrition and lunch. Student workers make a commitment for the entire school year. Gain invaluable work experience for your resume and have fun! Interested students can pick up an application in the Library. Applications will be available Tuesday, August 15thuntil Thursday the 17th. They are due on Friday the 18th. Interviews will take placeAugust 22during lunch.
Friday, August 18th we will be conducting a Lock-down Drill after lunch. This will be a fictional scenario that is intended to prepare our campus in the event of an actual incident. The drill will last approximately 15 minutes during Surfer.
ASB Corner
Our first dance will be Friday, September 8th! Ticket sales will start on Thursday, August 24th.
Get your hats ready! Friday, August 25th is Hat Day, this will be our first spirit day – wear a hat to earn your team spirit points.
Clubs
Do you want to impress and amaze your friends, family and teachers? Do you want to learn to take notes way faster than your friends? Do you want to learn to sign your name? Come and join Arroyo Seco’s newest club, The Handwriting Club. We will learn the cursive alphabet and have so much fun. Bring your lunch and come to the front office on August 29th to begin your new adventure. Treats and prizes will be given at the end of the quarter.
