APPLICATION FORM FOR 2017 BASA ESTABLISHEDPROGRAMME,
SUPPORTED BY RMB
Dear Arts Organisation,
We invite you to be part of the Business and Arts South Africa (BASA) Established Education Programme, supported by RMB.
BASA’s Education Programme aims to address the strategic thrust of development and support of the arts.
The BASA Established/DynamicEducation Programme is aimed at arts organisations that have a basic business model and plan, have been in operation for more than 2 years but are faced with strategic organisational challenges or are needing to interrogate further strategy and tactics pertaining to the business plan. This programme will challenge ways of thinking in terms of creative consciousness, generating income and creating innovative business models to ensure long-term sustainability. Furthermore, organisations at this level may be paired up with a business mentor to further assist and advise the organisations in meeting their strategic goals.
Our intensive programme comprises a series of workshops, support from our Programme Manager and if eligible, a possible mentor to oversee the engagement. The workshops include:
- Asset Based Community Driven Development (ABCD),shifting mind-sets around assets, knowledge and networks already in place
- Strategy, looking at vision, mission and goals for each organisation
- Monitoring and Evaluation of processes, projects and organisational targets and goals
- Marketing - including social media, public relations and creative market growth
- Operations and HR
- Finance
- Governance & Compliance
Each workshop will be approximately half a day or one full day, but will be presented in clusters over two to three days at a time. We expect total commitment, attendance at all workshops, submission of all tasks, and timely reports and meetings with the mentor (if applicable).
In the mid to long-term, we would like to see most objectives achieved and documented.
If you would like to be considered for the programme, we need to assess the current position of your organisation and what challenges you face going forward to see how you might benefit from the intensive programme.
Please fill in all required information and use separate paper if the space provided is not sufficient. Our intention is to help your organisation move beyond existing challenges. All details are important and will inform the final selection of our delegates.
