International Visitors Program
Category 1-- $25,000-- International Visiting Scholars (Open Competitionincluding Matariki Network of University partners*)
The International Visitors Program aims to assist in providing funds to enrich the international dimensions of the University, within both our classrooms and our research environment. Visits supported by the Fund must involve significant interaction with both students and faculty. Visits must extend over no fewer than three working days on campus. While the Fund is designed to support international travel, accommodation, and meals (according to Queen’s travel policy) for visits of up to two weeks, longer visits are encouraged where funds are available from other sources. Preference will be given to joint applications from more than one academic unit.
Applications for subsidies of up to $3,000 are due in the Dean’s Office of the relevant Faculty or School byApril 23, 2018. Applications will be reviewed by the Dean, and then forwarded to the Associate Vice-Principal (International)for final review by a committee convened for the purpose. Funding decisions will be announced at the end of May. All unused funds must be returned.
