Construction Projects:
*West Wise SUD is in the process of replacing 4,500 feet of 8” with C-900 12”. The project will reduce line failure while increasing flow to the East side of the distribution system.
*In the next five to ten years, West Wise SUD will be looking at painting water towers and clarifiers at the water plant.
Additionally:
*Please call the West Wise SUD office if you are experiencing low pressure, taste or odor problems, or sediment in the water supply. Furthermore, please report any possible water leaks. Any of these conditions could indicate a problem in the distribution system that needs to be addressed. The sooner we know of a problem, the sooner we can take corrective action.
*All customers are encouragedto have an operational shutoff valve on their side of the meter. It also helps to periodically operate the valve. Customers also need to be aware of the location of their meter box.
*Please keep shrubs, bushes and brush cleared from around the meter box and flushouts.
*Customers with backflow prevention devices need to be aware of thermal expansion. Without a route for water to expand during the heating process, water heaters can explode. Please call our office for additional details.
*Stage 1 water rationing still in effect.
The Board of Directors meet on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. located at the office on the corner of FM 2952 & FM 1658. As always, please feel free to contact our office with any questions or concerns you may have.
