Thursday, March 24

  • Arrival in SF at 2:40PM (BA). Transfer by BART. Valérie Bishop and Odile Marie will be at the airport. We will call school before we arrive at Ashby (around 5:00PM).
  • Families pick up students and carpool at AHSBY BART station.
  • Meeting at EB for a welcome reception in the Library, and meeting between correspondents.

Friday, March 25 Bag Lunches

Meeting at the BART station on Ashby at 8:15AM

  • Discovery of San Francisco by bus (cable cars closed until July 2011).
  • Lombard Street
  • Ghirardhelli Square
  • Coit Tower

Meeting at the BART station on Ashby at 8:15AM

  • SF Maritime Museum: 9:45-11:00AM guided visit
  • Adventure Cruse with Blue and Gold Fleet (visite de la baie en bateau) 1:15p.m.
  • Return to school at 3:30PM.

Tuesday, March 29 Bag Lunches

  • Meeting at the BART station on Ashby at 8:15AM
  • China Town or Museum Of Modern Art (MOMA)
  • Picnic in the Yerba Buena Gardens
  • Financial District (Wells & Fargo Bank) 1:30PM
  • Return to school at 3:30PM.

  • Meeting at BERKELEY TRAIN STATION at 7:30AM (Train BKY #524 leaves station at7:59AM; Capitol/Corridor Service). The station (University Av. & Third St) is locatedunder the University Avenue overpass, just west of 4th St, just in front of Spengers restaurant!
  • Tour of the Capitol/ Capitol Museum (self guided)
  • Old Sacramento: picnic and visit
  • Gold Panning Experience and Discovery Museum: 1:00-2:30PM
  • Old Sacramento and Old School visit
  • Return to school by train (departure at 3:35PM Train SAC # 543; arrival at 5:07PM) & bus at 6:00PM ontime for the:
  • Farewell Potluck at 6:30-8:30PM at the Lower School.

Tuesday, April 5 Bag Lunches

Meeting at Bancroft/Telegraph at 8:15AM

  • University of Berkeley visit: guided visit by a UC Berkeley student 11:30-1 :00
  • Doe or Bancroft Library
  • Museum of Anthropology
  • Hearst Greek Theatre
  • Return to school at around 3:30PM.

Wednesday, April 6 Bag Lunches

  • Morning at School
  • Introduction to baseball; Mathematics in English, English Literature, and Chinese
  • French students can work with their teachers on their projects
  • Departure to SF airport at noon after lunch
  • Carpool EB- Ashby BART station (parents) at 12:30p.m.

Departure British Airways at 4:55p.m.
