E)Disciple Plan: Handling Misconduct
When a student’s behavior or attitude conflicts with the standards of the school, I will take steps toshow the student what changes need to be made and encourage the student to do so. Most student discipline will be handled in class, between the student and me.
If needed, I may use any or all of the following methods in student discipline:
- Meeting with the student regarding the misbehavior, and parents will be notified.
- Submitting a Discipline Report wherein the student will be sent to the office and may be assigned a consequence determined by Mr. Wilson / Mr. Caldwell / Mrs. Kennedy.
- Requesting a conference to include the parent, teacher, student and administration.
I will work closely with parents to resolve discipline issues. I will keep parents well-informed about classroom behavior so that we can work as a team in matters of discipline.
