(All Fridays) / All / Parents and staff will run activities involving a theme students selected. Student academic expectations increase each quarter starting with students having grades higher than an F first quarter to students earning C’s and higher third quarter. / ATP
Family Science Night / 3,6 / Feb. 4 / 7 / All school science fair. 6th, 7th and 8th graders are eligible to participate, community judges, Pacific Science Center & MESA is available to judge during the day. Awards for boards will be posted for parents in the evening. / Science Teachers

Chosen students will be recognized through the newsletter, bulletin, and Stevens on site t.v. / Riggs
Conferences for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students / 1, 2 / November 12-15 and March 18-12 / All / Teachers will work with students to personally invite parents to conferences. Students will share their progress with parents with guidance from teachers. All students will participate and home visitor will work with parents by calling and providing transportation when necessary. / Charlotte Troxel

Honor Roll / 2 / Jan. 30 / All / Students will be honored with a 3.0 gpa or higherby administrators with a certificate and an icecream bar during their lunch. / All
Cinco de mayo / May 5 / All / Jalapeno eating, grito contests, and Spanish music are just part of the celebration for students during their lunch. Loteria (Mexican Bingo) is available for interested students to play. / All
5th Grade Visitation / 2 / June / All / Counselors will visit feeder schools prior to visitation with a Steven’s video. Natural helpers assist with showing students around the school / Counselors
8th grade Farewell / 2 / June 4 / 8th / Students will celebrate as they move to the next chapter. Each student will take an individual picture with the principal / All
Tiger Pride Cards / 2,3 / Ongoing / All / Inform faculty of continued promotion of Tiger Pride Cards: “Doing the Right Thing When No One Is Looking”. Parent support needed to prepare cards / office
Career Fair / TBD / ALL / Students began by completing the Explorer test to help determine possible career pathways. Various community members were invited to showcase their career for students interviewed guests and took notes. / Counselors
Parent Volunteers
(Recognition of parents) / 3 / Ongoing/recognition June 5 / All / Create a special volunteer sign-in sheet. Have a central drop off for all volunteer recognition forms. Celebrate and acknowledge volunteers at the end of the school year. Volunteers will also be recognized on an ongoing basis. / ATP chairs
Tiger Paws / 2 / Ongoing / All / Stevens staff will identify students who are doing their best, solving problems, showing respect, making good decisions, and helping others. Students will receive a tiger paw slip and it will go into a daily drawing for prizes. Tiger Paw slips will be submitted to the office. / All
