Highlights
Boys Soccer:
As the winter season comes to an end, our boys soccer team looks to finish on a high note with one game remaining verses Casa Grande on January 28th.
Girls Soccer:
Our girls soccer team will be having their senior night on January 28th versus Casa Grande. This will be their final game of the season.
Boys Basketball:
Our boys program is coming off their first sweep of the season. The varsity team has won two games in a row, they will be looking for their third tonight (January 23rd) versus McClintock. Their senior night will be February 7th versus Maricopa.
Girls Basketball:
Our girls have three more home games remaining. They will be on the road this evening versus McClintock. Their senior night will be February 5th versus Marcos De Niza.
Wrestling:
Our wrestlers will be hosting their first home meet of the season on January 28th versus Marana and Maricopa; this will also be their senior night. The boys have done a great job this season. Michael Spencer and a few others have a great opportunity to compete for a state title.
Athletic Director’s Summary:
As the winter season comes to an end we are still making attempts to get every student athlete eligible to play in their competition. This year thus far has been an eye opening experience for our teams competing in a division higher. My plan is to meet with all coaches and develop an off season program that is beneficial for all athletes to compete at a high level. I will continue to make a daily effort to visit our coaches and players during their practice time to gain an understanding of their coaching philosohpy as well as to get to know all of our student athletes. I am planning on meeting with two team captains from each sport each Thursday to discuss various topics and also give them a chance to get to know each other and learn how to support each other.
